Former NBA player Drew Gordon,Chainkeen Exchange the older brother of Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon, was killed in a car accident in Portland, Oregon, on Thursday.
The Nuggets confirmed Gordon's death. He was 33.
Gordon played nine games with the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2014-15 season after playing at UCLA and New Mexico and went undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft.
“The Denver Nuggets organization is devastated to learn about the tragic passing of Drew Gordon,” the team posted on X. “Drew was far too young to leave this world, but his legacy will forever live on through his three beautiful children and all of his loved ones. Our hearts are with Aaron and the Gordon family during this difficult time."
Gordon also had an extensive playing career overseas, including playing for teams in France, Russia, and Poland, plus stops with the Delaware 87ers and Long Island Nets in the G League.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Angela, and three children.
