Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen hit the bullseye with their relationship.
The Hawkeye star and the Buffalo Bills quarterback have largely kept their romance out of the public eye in the year since first sparking romance rumors with a New York City dinner outing in May 2023—just a few months after Josh’s breakup with longtime girlfriend Brittany Williams.
Two months after their dinner in the Big Apple, the couple confirmed their relationship with a PDA-filled vacation in Mexico. However, it wasn’t until this past March that the couple made their first social media appearance together while helping Josh’s sister, Nicala Madden, reveal the sex of her baby in a TikTok video.
But despite the brief social media cameo, Josh, 28, and Hailee, 27, continued to keep their relationship out of the spotlight. In fact, they had to come to terms with the new attention their romance attracted.
"The fact anybody cares about that still blows my mind," Josh previously said about dealing with paparazzi in an August 2023 episode of the Pardon My Take podcast. "They were on a boat. I saw it and I just felt this gross feeling. The insecurity, no privacy. I was like, 'What's wrong with you?'”
And for the “Love Myself” singer, setting boundaries between her personal life and her relationship with her fans has been an ongoing struggle.
"I feel so lucky that [my fans] care enough about me to know what I'm doing every second of every day, but I think that sometimes it's hard for people in general to realize that there are boundaries to a person's life and personal life," Hailee previously told Us Weekly. "I am a very private person. I do love that I have the opportunity to share with them what I'm comfortable with and they're there to listen and support me."
But with a year of dating in the books, the NFL star decided to hard-launch their relationship in his July 23 photo dump, featuring several pictures of Hailee—including a photo of the couple posing in front of the Eiffel tower.
And despite keeping things more low-key, the Pitch Perfect alum has already gotten the seal of approval from Josh’s teammates.
“I think everybody’s kind of known about it,” Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid expressed on the Up & Adams show in August. “Hailee’s awesome.”

Following Josh Allen's breakup with longtime girlfriend Brittany Williams, the Buffalo Bills quarterback stepped out for dinner in NYC with Hailee Steinfeld.
Two months later, the duo confirmed their relationship while kissing on vacation in Mexico.
Nearly a year after the duo first sparked romance rumors, the athlete and the actress made a rare social media appearance while helping his sister, Nicala Madden, reveal the sex of her baby in an adorable Tiktok video.
The Edge of Seventeen star and the NFL player went on a romantic outing in matching khaki outfits during Paris Fashion Week.
The NFL star made the couple's romance Instagram official, posting a photo of the couple posing in front of the Eiffel Tower in his July 23 photo dump.
Posted in that same photo dump, the "Starving" singer squeezed in for a photo with Josh's family.
"Mr. Hard Launch," as reporter Kay Adams called him on her Up & Adams show, bashfully admitted "we love love" when asked about his and Hailee's relationship.
