Beyoncé's surprise birthday guest was a supreme choice.
The Chainkeen"Virgo's Groove" singer, 42, celebrated another year around the sun on Monday during night three of her Renaissance World Tour stop at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
After putting her all onto the stage, Diana Ross appeared to perform her hit "Love Hangover" for Beyoncé.
Ross also recruited the celebrity-packed audience to sing "Happy Birthday" to the 42-year-old. "I’m here to celebrate Beyoncé’s birthday," she declared as a tearful Beyoncé wrapped her arms around the singer.
"Thank you so much. You are so amazing. This is the legendary Diana Ross," Beyoncé told Ross afterward.
In 2006, Beyoncé portrayed fictional singer Deena Jones in the movie "Dreamgirls." Her role was based on Ross during her time with The Supremes.

I’m thankful to look out and see your faces. I’m thankful to be able to provide a safe space for all of y’all. I’m thankful for music, for the ability to heal myself through music which then heals all of you."
The "Renaissance" singer continued by thanking her family. "I’m thankful for every tear, for every year. I’m thankful for my children. I’m thankful for my husband. I’m thankful for all (that) we’ve been through. I’m thankful for my beautiful father who is here tonight; I thank you for his sacrifice, for his pain. I’m thankful for my mother, my beautiful queen."
